Q Clothing: A night of food, friends, fashion and fun

Don’t you just love alliteration? I admit, it’s one of my weaknesses (as illustrated by my somewhat-cheesy title). I just can’t help myself. Anyway…

As I mentioned before, I’m always looking for chances to socialize with like-minded individuals, and Thursday night I got to do just that. Q Clothing in downtown Salt Lake hosted a little event and I forced asked my friend, Jen of MIYO Mag, to go with me. After stopping at the Tavernacle for a much needed post-work glass of wine and meeting up with Audrey (the other half of MIYO Mag), we headed up the street to Q Clothing, where a line was already forming.

Inside were racks and racks of colorful and unique pieces of clothing, shoes and accessories, as well as a Kling sample sale. I really fell in love with several pieces from this line. They were just gorgeous.

In addition to excellent sales and beautiful clothing, there was a hair stylist and a makeup artist giving out tips and tricks, as well as prizes and delicious hor dourves. Which was good, because I was starving!

All this would have been more than enough for a wonderful evening, but it got better. While perusing every square inch of the store, I found a Panama-style hat that actually fit! No small feat, considering my larger-than-average head (it’s all the brains, I swear). I made Jen and Audrey swear that it looked normal on me before purchasing, and I’m so glad I did. I wore it all weekend. Yay for not having to do my hair! A huge win for me.

So, as you can see, it was a great weekend. It was so nice to spend time with some fellow bloggers, too. Can’t wait for the next GNO!
