Holiday Hair: How to get party-ready hair in a hurry

‘Tis the season. The season of carols, lights, presents, shopping and over-scheduling. The holiday season has everyone running from place to place trying to get everything done in time for the big day. Throw in a few holiday parties, and you’ve got yourself booked.

While it would be nice to be able to take the time to leisurely get ready, it’s usually just not possible. Chances are you’ll be lucky to get there on time (or is that just me?). In an effort to make it look like I still put effort in to getting ready I found a few quick and easy hairstyles that are party ready, but only take a few minutes.

Braided Crown

Deep Side Part

With curly hair you get a retro-glam look, while straight hair would give you a more modern, sleek appearance. Either way, it only takes a couple minutes to pull off and definitely gets you ready for a night out.

Fancy Ponytail

It looked easy enough and dressed up a simple ponytail. These pictures really don’t do it justice, it turned out really well. I’m definitely going for this style again.

Granted, these styles look best on me if my hair has some curl or texture to it, but that’s because my straight, fine hair tends to go limp pretty quickly. If you’ve got full, straight hair I think you’d be good to go.

Do you have a go-to quick hairstyle when you have a party to attend?
